For several years, the Pottery Museum offers holiday and educational activities for children between 6 and 12 years (only in German).
Together with an experienced museum educator the children explore the Pottery Museum and his permanent as well as temporary exhibitions and the old pottery village of Raeren. They make vessels based on old models from the museum collection or even their own musical instruments out of clay, on which they can then play music too.
They also learn how to handle food before, how this was preserved and under what circumstances our ancestors lived.
Information on the topic "Archaeology" will be taught, as well as living history from the earliest days across Roman and medieval to early modern times.

Needless to say, that the physical activity is alos praticated: In the "footsteps of the potters", the children explore the grounds around the castle and the old Raeren meadow paths and cart tracks. It is also the theme of "Knights and Castles" addressed.
